“To protect the environment, it is very crucial that we change our attitudes. The impact of human activities on the environment cannot be ignored. So, thinking and acting in an environmentally friendly manner is imperative. Only in this way can we directly contribute to achieving the objectives of Environment Day and the national and global mission of environmental conservation. That is why young students like you should take part in Environment Day activities hosted by your university. I would like to state that it is our responsibility to inherit a better environment for our future generations,” the Minister made this statement while participating in the World Environment Day celebration event held at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University this morning (05).

“We need to be aware of the environment and act accordingly. Let us all work together to conserve the environment so we can inherit a better world for our children. Let’s all join our hands to do everything we can to protect the environment,” he said.
