The Minister of Energy, Eng. Furthermore, this project is considered likely to assist in maintaining the stability of the National Power Grid, as it is equipped with a 12MWh Batter Energy Storage System facility.
The Minister was able to observe that preliminary works of the construction such as soil testing, land surveying and chain link fencing have already been carried and he also stated that the unresolved issued will be addressed soon with the necessary interventions.
Monaragala District MP Ajith Agalakada, the chairman of Sustainable Energy Authority Prof. Wijendra Bandara and a group of several other senior officials also participated in this visit.
