After a successful discussion between Sri Lankan and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), Sri Lankan has agreed to pay due amount in instalments, Managing Director of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Mr. Neil Jayasekara said.

He stated that this discussion was held with participation of Secretary of Ministry of Public enterprise Development Ranjith Hewawitharana, Chairan of CPC Dammika Ranatunga and Chairman of Sri Lankan Air lines Ranjith Fernando at CPC on 2nd July.

Sri Lankan has agreed to pay Rs. 800 million out of Rs. 13.45 billion. Sri Lankan also agreed that they will take steps get the consent of the cabinet to take a loan from private bank to pay the balance due amount. CPC stated that they will continue to supply fuel to the Sri Lankan as they agreed to pay due amount.
