Hon.Udaya Gammanpila, Attorney-at-Law, Minister of Energy, commenced the construction work of three modern oil tanks with a storage capacity of 29,000 cubic meters (21,000 metric tons) at the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Limited at Kolonnawa.
Mr. KDR Olga, Secretary to the Ministry of Energy, Mr. Mohamed Uwais, Chairman, Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Ltd., Mr. Sumith Wijesinghe, Attorney-at-Law, Chairman, Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Manoj Gupta, Managing Director, IOC spoke on the occasion. Mr. Surath Ovitigama, Director General of the Resource Development Bureau, Mr. Upul Wijesekera, Private Secretary to the Minister and officials of the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Ltd. and trade union leaders were also present.
