New CEYPETCO Lubricants Distribution Program Launched at the Fisheries Harbour
With the aim of providing relief to the fishing community, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, in collaboration with the Ceylon Fisheries Harbour Corporation, launched a new program today (27) to distribute high-quality “CYPETCO Lubricants” at fisheries harbours. Accordingly, this initiative enables fishermen to purchase USA- certified high quality lubricants directly at the harbour premises. The initial stage of the programme began at the Dikovita Fisheries Harbour today and will continue to be implemented at 25 fisheries harbours across the country to provide required lubricants to multi-day fishing vessels, offering relief to the fishing community.
This inauguration event was held today at the Dikovita Fisheries Harbour premises under the patronage of Minister of Energy Eng. Kumara Jayakody and Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources Ramalingam Chandrasekaran,
Speaking at the event, Energy Minister Eng. Kumara Jayakody mentioned that the profits generated through government institutions will be used to provide relief to the public and to develop infrastructure. He said that a program will be developed in the future, which ensures the kerosene subsidy is delivered to the fishermen directly, and measures will be taken to prevent any irregularities in the process. Highlighting that CEYPETCO lubricants are manufactured under a high-quality production process and have received international quality certifications, he further encouraged both the fishing community and other vehicle users to choose CEYPETCO products for their proven quality.
Minister of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources Ramalingam Chandraskaran, Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Janaka Rajakaruna, several senior officials, and Chairman of the Ceylon Fisheries Harbour Corporation Kapila Bamunuarachchi also addressed the event.
