Tender Floated For the Sampoor 50MW Solar Power Plant Project with Batter Energy Storage System (BESS)
The Trincomalee Power Company Limited, a joint venture with 50% shareholding by the Ceylon Electricity Board and the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) of India, is inviting tenders for the implementation of 50 MW solar Power plant with ground-mounted solar panels to be constructed in the Sampoor area of Trincomalee District.
The scope of this project includes the complete process from designing to installing the solar power plant as well as installation of a minimum 20MW/20MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
Tenders are accepted until 18 February 2026 and the tenders will be opened on 19 February 2026.
The Construction works are required to be completed within 21 months from the date of tender award.
