Inviting Public Views on the Draft National Electricity Policy
The Formulation of the draft National Electricity Policy has been completed by the Committee in accordance with the provisions of Section 4 of the Sri Lanka Electricity Act, No. 36 of 2024 (as amended by Act No. 14 of 2025), and is published by the Ministry of Energy for the purposes of section 4(4) of the Act, in all three languages on the Ministry of Energy website (www.energymin.gov.lk) .
The Ministry of Energy hereby invites public, stakeholders and interested parties to send in writing, comments and suggestions on the said draft policy, referring to the relevant section of the draft policy.
All such comments and suggestions should reach the Ministry on or before 19.02.2026 at 12.00 noon, in the manner specified below.
