Inviting Public Views on the Draft National Electricity Policy
In accordance with the provisions of Section 4 of the Sri Lanka Electricity Act No. 36 of 2024 (as amended by No. 14 of 2024), the final draft of the National Electricity Policy has been prepared by the Committee appointed by Hon. Minister of Energy, following the first stage of public and stakeholder consultations. The draft policy has now been published on the Ministry website (www.energymin.gov.lk) for the final stage stakeholder consultations.
The Ministry of Energy hereby invites public views and suggestions from all interested parties on the said draft policy on or before 18.02.2026, in the manner specified below:
