The Renewable Energy Project Development Plan

The Renewable Energy Project Development Plan (draft) is a forward-looking project pipeline for the next five years, formulated based on the approved Long-Term Generation Expansion Plan and incorporating recommendations from the Ceylon Electricity Board and the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority. This plan prioritizes key energy requirements aligned with national development goals. The listed projects represent a dynamic pipeline, subject to periodic updates depending on future electricity demand and evolving national priorities.

All projects listed in the plan will only proceed after securing the necessary approvals from the:

• Department of National Planning

• Cabinet of Ministers

Furthermore, required budgetary allocations will be ensured prior to implementation.
